Two Xerox DocuMate Scanners Win PCMag.com Editor’s Choice Awards
Reviewers note scanner speed, input capacity, duty cycle and price
Editors of PCMag.com recently awarded both the Xerox DocuMate® 5445 and 5460 with Editor’s Choice Awards, and scored the scanners high for accuracy, emphasizing that they recognized fonts as small as 6 points without a mistake.
Xerox introduced the hard-working and easy-to-use document scanners earlier this year.
According to the PCMag.com reviews, published in February and April, “the balance of speed, input capacity, duty cycle, and price, along with the well chosen set of application programs and capable scan utility, make the Xerox DocuMate 5445 an easy pick as the new Editors’ Choice for moderately heavy duty use in a small office or workgroup.”

Next Generation DocuMate Scanners
The Xerox DocuMate 5445 and 5460 are both small enough to fit on any desk; weighing only 8.8 lbs. and measuring 12.5″ wide x 8.2″ deep x 7.7″ high (9.3″ when equipped with paper feed tray). The scanners also offer ultrasonic doublefeed detection and “dog-ear” detection, which stops scanning when an image is obstructed due to a folded corner or extreme skewing. This feature can be temporarily bypassed to allow scanning of documents—such as envelopes—that would otherwise trigger errors.
